Travel Info

We have chosen to tie the knot in the very town where we have started to set down roots as our forever home. For that reason, we've invited all of our loved ones to join us in this gorgeous top left corner of the country to be a part of our celebration.

We know that our decision to move up here makes visiting a bit more difficult for some (as Sharon often reminds us) so hopefully the information below is helpful for planning your visit.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions!

Getting Here

Fly to BLI (Bellingham)
Alaska Airlines, Southwest, and Allegiant all have direct flights into Bellingham.

- Alaska Airlines direct flights depart only from SEA Seattle, WA (SEA).
There are no direct flights from the east coast to Bellingham. Alaska Airlines has many options but will include a layover in Seattle. SEA to BLI on Alaska Airlines is an option to add onto any flight that brings you to SEA first, but it isn't always cost effective. There are train and bus options from Seattle that may be better (details below). Alaska does have a credit card with a companion discount that is worth checking out if you play the points game!

2) Southwest direct flights depart from:
Denver, CO (DEN)
Las Vegas, NV (LAS)
Oakland, CA (OAK)

3) Allegiant direct flights depart from:
Phoenix, AZ (AZA)
Las Vegas, NV (LAS)
Los Angeles, CA (LAX)
Palm Springs, CA (PSP)
Oakland, CA (OAK)

Southwest and Allegiant flights aren't typically listed on Kayak or Google Search results, so we suggest going straight to the airline's site.

We highly suggest Southwest or Allegiant for those traveling from California. This is also an option for those traveling from the east coast to combine with another airline with a layover in LAS /LAX.

From Seattle
The Seattle airport (Sea-Tac) is located in Tacoma, a few miles south of Seattle city center.

There is a Light Rail stop at the airport which will take you into Seattle with a few stops in key downtown locations. There is no need to pre-book Light Rail tickets.

Train:
- The Bellingham Amtrak Station is right by our reception location. This line runs from Vancouver down to Portland with stops in Bellingham, Seattle, and others (it's a beautiful ride!).

From Sea-Tac:
- Take the Light Rail to Int'l District / Chinatown Station. Then take the Amtrak from King Street Station, which is only a few blocks away from the Light Rail station.

From Seattle:
- Take Amtrak from King Street Station to Fairhaven Station. We highly suggest pre-booking tickets.

Bus:
There are charter buses that go from Sea-Tac airport with stops in Bellingham. You will have to pre-book tickets.
- Quick Shuttle stops at BLI airport.
- Bellair Airporter stops at BLI airport and the 4 Points by Sheraton hotel (one of the hotels on our recommended list).

Drive:
- If you choose to drive, we highly suggest you take the scenic route via Chuckanut Drive.
- You can do this by navigating to Taylor Shellfish Farms in Bow, which will navigate you off the highway at the right time for the scenic view (we also suggest this as a pit spot for some fresh local oysters!). The fastest route is via I-5

From YVR / Vancouver
Vancouver is <1 hour from Bellingham, depending on border wait times.

We highly suggest checking flight options into Vancouver airport if you plan on renting a car anyway or are traveling from Canada. Don't forget to bring your NEXUS or Global Entry, as it will help with border times.
